Today, Google is honoring the 101st birthday of Akira Yoshizawa, an origami artist who became legendary for introducing a new technique of origami called wet-folding. Trough this technique he spritzed the paper to make it damp and then folded, making it possible to create beautiful paper sculptures and realistc figures.
The special Origami Google Doodle was made by Robert Lang, who is considered one of the world’s masters of the art of origami and have also worked with Artworks Foundry to cast in bronze some of his pieces. Continue Reading
