The bronze artwork pictured on the East Bay Express news is a plaque made by the artist Stephen Kaltenbach and it’s part of the interesting exhibition tittled “State of Mind: New California Art circa 1970”, at the Berkeley Art Museum (2626 Bancroft Way, Berkeley).
Dolby Chadwick Gallery
For the art lovers who like painting and drawing, we recommend the new show of Edwige Fouvry that is happening at the Dolby Chadwick Gallery, in San Francisco. The show is tittled “Ars Memoriae” and is open to the public from April 5th.

"Visions of Our 44th President" Exhibition
Visions of Our 44th President is a collective sculptural show created to recognize and celebrate the historical significance of the first African American President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.
The Exhibition is composed by 44 artists’ interpretations of a Barack Obama’s bust sculpted by the artist Matthew Gonzalez and initially given to the artists as a blank canvas. Imagination, creativity and symbolism lead the process of creation and the results are really inspiring. Continue Reading
David Goode and his new work "Game of Chess"
In this week, Artworks Foundry was happy to receive the artist David Goode, who came from England to supervise the patina and final details of his new work: “Game of Chess”.
Goode is being our client for almost 15 years now and we have been cast all of his bronze pieces since then. The inspiration for David’s work stretches back to a childhood fascination with myths and folklore, and a love of the writings of Tolkein.

The Creators Project: San Francisco 2012
If you live in San Francisco or Bay Area you better don’t miss this amazing event that is happening in San Francisco on this weekend.
It’s called “The Creators Project” and it’s defined by its creators as “the world’s epicenter of technology and innovation”, and where you will find a colossal two-day art and technology festival featuring towering multimedia art installations, live music performances, film screenings, and panels.
Bronze cast at Artworks on the San Francisco Chronicle (March 15th)
In this Thursday’s (March 15th) SF Chronicle you can find a bronze sculpture made by the artist Alice Shaw and cast at Artworks Foundry.
The work piece is tittled “One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure” and it’s part of Alice Shaw’s exhibition “Landscape Update”, at Gallery 15, in San Francisco.

Mildred Howard, an important Bay Area artist and social activist, was honored this week on the Alameda Women’s Hall of Fame. Representing the Art and Culture category, she was selected for enhancing and encouraging individual creativity in the performing, visual and media arts.
Artworks Foundry and Mildred have been working together in the past few years and we are proud to have her as one of our clients.
